Unlike with music, you shall find not a single bad or pretentious take here. I'm actually unashamedly really fond of the games I like, which means that sometimes I get carried away and will talk about them for very long or even when the other person doesn't particularly care.
HOWEVER! If there is one place where I can rant about things, this would be it. And I'm gonna take full advantage of that.
I don't really have a favorite genre among indies, but I suppose a few I always find myself playing are roguelites, platforms and visual novels. Some of my all time faves are: Disco Elysium The Binding of Isaac, Hades, Celeste, Kentucky Route Zero, Spelunky (1 has a special place in my heart, but I love the second game too), Hollow Knight, VA-11 Hall-A, Undertale, VVVVVV and Oneshot.
The order they're listed in is random, I think. Maybe keeping an updated list is a good idea for the future
